Often the image betrays the reality of things, inducing those who look at certain objects to attribute to them a value, a meaning, a possible use only in the light of their own perceptions. But if the object has its own purposes that are different from the apparent ones, then it lives on an original light, itself taking on movements and breaths that apparently do not belong to it.
Thus, if you think of a box, the obvious idea is that it is simply something intended to accommodate objects, themselves bearers of a value: memory, remorse, hope, illusion.
Each of these states of the soul would deserve different "boxes" because the moment is different, the thought is different, and therefore the value we attribute to those objects is different.
It is starting from this consideration that the architect Giuseppe Milizia launched "Containers of life", the design project which has boxes as its fulcrum, its centre, the engine of an idea. “Containers of life” is the name of the exhibition that Milizia intends to bring to the capitals of the world, be they political, economic or art. The project is divided into a series of exhibitions in which the collection of boxes that Milizia has designed and created will be placed making use of very high professionalism - artisans who work exclusively for him, using very advanced technologies, mixed with techniques now forgotten - aimed at the processing of materials all of natural origin (wood, lacquer, briars) and of the highest quality. The final product is a fascinating blend of genius and art, intimately connected to functionality.Giuseppe Milizia's "containers of life" can only be called boxes reductively, because every detail is taken care of, because they were designed and created with respect for what will be - or could only be: never binding the strength of a feeling - the destination. And these boxes, despite their value and the perfection of their workmanship, have been designed so that everyone can "read" them, "interpret" them and therefore decide on their use according to what they inspire, because this is the purpose for which they were conceived and created.
